Ten GM Diesel Hybrid Buses to Oahu

23 October 2004

New Flyer Industries delivered 10 diesel hybrid buses powered by the GM-Allison hybrid drive to Oahu Transit Services. The buses will enter service in November.

Earlier posts on the sales of GM-powered diesel hybrids are here, here, here, and here. In addition, GM recently announced that it would build diesel-hybrid buses in China in partnership with SAIC.

GM is using the hybrid powertrain in these buses as the foundation for its upcoming second generation advanced hybrid system that it will implement in GM full-size sport utility vehicles and pickups over the next few years.
