Where will the city purchase the B5, B20 or B100? If B100, will the city blend the products to suit other needs? What are the specifics regarding the delivery of the Biodiesel product?

The City of Chattanooga currently purchases fuel on a spot market basis—i.e., no contract or specific purchasing agreement. According to Brian Kiesche, the fleet manager, the most likely supplier will be Benton Oil as they are within 5 miles of the fleet garage and are very competitive with price checks the city has made historically.

They will purchase pre-blended as long as it's available at a competitive price. If they determine a price advantage, they may consider blending on site.
