Ford Argentina Introduces Gasoline, CNG, Diesel FiestaMax

Although Ford halted North American production of its natural gas and compressed gas vehicles “to concentrate on fuel-efficient gas-electric vehicles” (earlier post), the manufacturer continues to introduce new CNG models internationally, where demand is much higher.

The new Ford FiestaMax, just introduced in Argentina, is a case in point. The vehicle offers gasoline, CNG or diesel options.

For CNG models, Ford uses the gasoline 1.6-liter Zetec RoCam engine with modified cylinder heads and an IMPCO-BRC Sequent injection system, produced and installed by the IMPCO-BRC facility in Buenos Aires.

IMPCO, formerly a 50% owner of BRC, finalized its acquisition of BRC earlier this month.
