Mercedes-Benz to Offer Retrofit PM Filter Package
2 April 2005
DaimlerChrysler will offer a diesel particulate filter retrofit package for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars beginning this Fall.
In March, Mercedes-Benz announced that its entire range of new diesel passenger cars, from the A-Class to the S-Class, will be fitted with a particle filter as a standard feature from summer 2005 in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. This measure extends to 30 vehicle models in all.
Initially available for the Mercedes-Benz C- and E-Class models, the retrofit system will be available directly from Mercedes-Benz shops.
The Mercedes particulate filter is maintenance-free and does not require the use of additives.
