New Tucson Buses to Burn B20 Biodiesel Blend
8 September 2005
Sun Tran, Tucson, Arizona’s regional public transportation system, has received its first shipment of 38 new low-floor diesel buses.
The new buses, manufactured by Gillig, will burn a B20 biodiesel blend, and replace older, existing diesel units.
Sun Tran operates a fleet of 189 buses, 72% (136) of which are CNG-fueled.
Currently, Sun tran is spot buying its biodiesel from Arizona Petroleum.
