Toyota May Introduce High-End Lexus LS Hybrid at Tokyo Show

Toyota’s Lexus division will introduce a “Flagship Sedan Concept Car” next week at the Tokyo Motor Show, with the unveil for the press on 19 October.
This is likely to be the hybrid version of the flagship Lexus LS (which is sold as the Celsior in Japan).
Also on display will be the previously announced Lexus GS450h hybrid (earlier post), which may serve as an indicator of Toyota’s approach with premium luxury hybrids.
The GS450h combines a 3.5-liter, V6 gasoline engine with a D-4S injections system (combined direct and port injection) with a high-output electric motor to deliver more than 300 horsepower. The output, and Toyota is positioning it of a 4.5-liter engine with the fuel economy of a 2.0-liter engine.
