EOP Biodiesel Starts Production at New Plant

22 January 2007

EOP Biodiesel AG is beginning trial production at its new 100,000 tons per year (30 million gallons US) plant at its Pritzwalk-Falkenhagen (Germany) site. The plant, which is to be inaugurated on 9 March, increases the company’s total capacity at the site to 132,500 tons.

Starting 1 January 2007, each diesel sold in Germany is required to contain 5% biodiesel by volume.

This means we made an important step on our way to deliver 60% of our biodiesel output into the B5 market in the future.

—Prof. Dr. Karl-Wilhelm Giersberg, CFO
