26 February 2007

Quantum Fuel Systems has received a contract to expand and to enhance its hydrogen vehicle and Mobile Hydrogen Infrastructure (MHI) programs for the US Army’s Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). (Earlier post.)

Under this contract, Quantum will complete the development of a 2008 Ford Escape Hydrogen Hybrid, incorporating an advanced hydrogen fuel injection system and ultra-lightweight hydrogen storage system developed by Quantum.

The contract also supports the enhancement of the two HyHauler Plus stations to expand their operating environment range and address conditions specified by the Army.
