Suzuki to Triple Diesel Engine Production in India by 2010
5 February 2007
Suzuki Motor will triple its diesel engine production in India to 300,000 units by March 2010. In addition to meeting local demand, some of the additional capacity will also supply Europe.
Suzuki had launched a diesel engine plant in northern India in October with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units. Maruti Udyog Limited (MUL), Suzuki Motor’s Indian subsidiary, recently introduced the new Swift Diesel subcompact in India. (Earlier post.)
