Renault launches Logan in Argentina and Brazil; Flex-fuel for Brazil

Renault is introducing the Logan in Argentina in May and Brazil in July. Both markets are growing steadily.
Brazilian autosales rose 28% to 1,834,581 in 2006 from 2004, while Argentina’s market grew 57% to 420,356.
For Brazil, the Logan will be available with the ethanol-powered engines required for this market—a world first for the Logan range.

Is the Logan going to be the 21st century VW?

World sales in 2007/08 is expected to top 1 million units. Many configurations and motorizations are already available. Starting as low as $6k (to $12K for the 5-door better equipped version) the Logan will be a success in fast growing markets such Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, India, Russia and China.
Assembly plants are going up in most of the above stated countries and in Eastern Europe.
