Panda Ethanol Raising $140M

Panda Ethanol is raising $140 million in an offering to qualified institutional buyers.

Panda Ethanol, which went public last year, has announced plans for six 100-million-gallon ethanol plants in the US powered by gasifying cow manure. (Earlier post.)

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to provide equity funding for the development and construction of its Yuma ethanol facility. Any remaining net proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.
