Ashok Leyland and Siemens VDO Establish Joint Venture in India

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland and automotive supplier Siemens VDO Automotive AG have established a 50-50 joint venture in India for the development of electronics and software for the growing Asian automotive industry.

The joint venture develops electronic components and software, such as instrument cluster applications, cockpit electronics and various control units for both commercial vehicles and passenger cars.

Siemens VDO is already present in India with around 800 employees at locations in Bangalore, Pune and Manesar.
