Toyota Group’s Vehicle Output To Surpass 10 Million in 2008

Nikkei. Toyota Motor plans to raise combined annual auto output with Hino Motors Ltd. (7205) and Daihatsu Motor Co. (7262) to around 10.4 million units in 2008, up more than 1 million units from 2006.

Toyota is adding new factories in Russia and China, lifting production capacity in Thailand, and begin operations of a second Canadian factory and bring consignment production of the Camry at a Fuji Heavy Industries plant in Indiana into full swing.
