Air Products Starts Up Fifth Hydrogen Fueling Station in Korea

7 November 2007

Air Products has started operations at its fifth hydrogen fueling station in Korea in the capital Seoul. The company already has hydrogen fueling station technology operating in Korea for demonstration and research and development projects with the automobile, gas and oil industries.

The newest station, officially placed on-stream 2 November, will continue to support the Korean government’s ongoing development of hydrogen as an alternative fuel for the transportation industry.

We commend the Korean government’s commitment to furthering the use of hydrogen for fueling automobiles. Globally, we have placed more Air Products fueling equipment in Korea than any country outside of the United States.

—K. S. Koh, global applications and development manager for Air Products Korea

An earlier GS Caltex hydrogen fueling station with Air Products technology also located in Seoul began fueling automobiles in September. It was the first time a hydrogen fueling station with public access began operation in a metropolitan area in the country. Air Products’ fueling station technology in Korea includes hydrogen compression, storage and dispensing equipment, as well as its leading mobile fueler technology.

Air Products has placed more than 70 fueling stations on-stream in 12 countries, including for mass transit fueling in Beijing, China for buses to be used to shuttle athletes and visitors for the 2008 Olympic Games. In addition to Korea and China, Air Products also has placed hydrogen dispensing equipment in Asia in Japan, Singapore and India. Air Products’ mobile fueler technology is in operation today in over 20 United States and worldwide locations.

More than 40,000 vehicle fuelings have already taken place using Air Products’ technology.

I would be interested in being part of your distribution network for Florida USA. I sold out our family owned welding supply (Havana Welding Supply in Miami Florida) to Airgas in 1993. Therefore I have an basic understanding of cryogenics and pumping into a high pressure gas. I speak English and Spanish fluently.

I can also raise capital if your business plan were to focus on strictly staying to the manufacturing side of the business

If your think I can be of service, please don't hesitate to contact me. Cell 305-300-4500 Jorge Valdes
