Bangchak Petroleum to Launch E85 in Thailand

3 January 2008

Bangkok Post. Bangchak Petroleum Plc is preparing to introduce E85 fuel in Thailand.

President Anusorn Sangnimnuan said the company had successfully tested E85 to meet global standards, especially those of the European Union and the United States. He said Bangchak would submit the testing results to the new government and seek an excise tax incentive to attract automobile companies to design E85- compatible models.

Bangchak and PTT are preparing for the first day of the commercial trade of E20 next Monday at 15 gasoline stations. (Earlier post.)
