Partnership in Sweden for PHEV Development Moves Ahead
14 March 2008
Volvo Car Corporation, Saab Automobile, Swedish power company Vattenfall, battery manufacturer ETC and the Swedish state are moving ahead with a joint broad-based research venture to develop and to demonstrate plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). (Earlier post.)
The partners will produce a fleet of 10 plug-in hybrids, which will be field-tested in Sweden.
In 2007, Volvo introduced the C30 ReCharge Concept PHEV at the Frankfurt Motor Show. (Earlier post.)
We want to be involved in setting up the rules for the future and to help build up broad-based competence in Sweden in this vital area.
