Valence Names China-Based Chief Technical Officer

Valence Technology, Inc., a developer of lithium-ion iron phosphate energy storage solutions, has appointed Dr. K.C. Lim as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer.
Dr. Lim has more than 20 years of industrial research, development and technology transfer experience with lithium-ion batteries and related technologies along with a successful track record of founding several battery startup companies. He will be based out of Valence’s office in Suzhou, China.
Dr. Lim was most recently the president and co-founder of Pleiades Battery Manufacturing based in Suzhou, China, which develops and manufactures high capacity, large format lithium-ion batteries for EV applications. Prior to Pleiades, Dr. Lim co-founded and served as general manager of Energy Sciences International, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in lithium-ion battery manufacturing technologies and advanced production machine designs.
