Quantum to launch fully-integrated bolt-on natural gas systems for medium-duty trucks
6 March 2013
Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. is launching its new line of production-ready, bolt-on compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for medium-duty trucks at the National Truck and Equipment Association Work Truck Show.
Quantum’s integrated fuel systems for medium-duty trucks, incorporating its ultra-light Q-Lite CNG storage systems, are available in a variety of configurations, ranging from 24 to 64 gasoline-gallon-equivalent (gge) capacities.
The systems have integral fuel receptacles, pressure gauges, safety systems including shut-off valves, pressure relief device(s) and pressure sensors and fuel metering subsystems including pressure regulator and thermal management. Available fuel system configurations include single, dual and triple module systems to accommodate a variety of popular medium-duty truck platforms.
Quantum’s new medium-duty CNG fuel systems are designed to provide a bolt-on solution to quickly outfit a truck to operate on CNG.
