Ford Appoints Exec to New Sustainability Post

Ford Motor Company has named Susan Cischke Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering. She will lead the company’s sustainability efforts going forward and report to Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally.

Cischke is charged with establishing a long range sustainability strategy as well as Ford’s environmental and safety policy. A good appointment which should be followed by concrete action to secure Ford's commitment to sustainability. Wouldn't it be interesting if Ford partnered with a sustainable energy business to provide a turnkey transportation solution: vehicles plus fuel/energy fleets.
