Gulf Oil Opens E85 Station at Boston’s Logan Airport
23 October 2008
Gulf Oil, LP, one of the largest wholesalers of refined petroleum products in the Northeast, has opened its first e85 fueling station in New England, located at Logan Airport in Boston.
There are more than 75,000 flexible-fuel vehicles (FFVs) registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, about 4,000 of which are located within a 5-mile radius of the new Gulf Oil e85 fueling station.
Additionally, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which operates 35 branches in the Boston area, including at Logan Airport, has more than 1,000 FFVs in its fleet throughout the Commonwealth. The US Postal Service has more than 390 FFVs in the Boston area, which include delivery, administrative and inspection service vehicles.
Is the station open to the public, or just for fleets? After all, there's plenty of fleet usage [taxis, shipping, etc] but the airport isn't exactly on anybody's way to anything except, well, the airport. Hell, you've got to pay a toll to get there from Boston.
In any case, nice to see we're getting on the E85 train I guess.

Sounds like fleet traffic for now. They won't be paying the tunnel tolls and are regularly at the airport. But good news indeed. Now, how bout one in Kenmore Square, just under the Citgo sign.

There are 1,800 E85 stations in US and 120,000 gas stations. E85 is catching up. In another news article the I-65 corridor from Indiana to Alabama is going to become a bio-fuel corridor.
Also cellulosic Ethanol is becoming a reality soon.
