The California Air Resources Board to Hold ZEV Symposium in September
28 May 2009
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) will hold its Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Symposium beginning at 1:00 pm PST on 21 September, and running throughout the day on 22 September.
Topics for this day and a half Symposium will include current status on fuel cell technology, fuel cell vehicles, battery technology, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and battery electric vehicles.
Information, including a formal agenda and speakers will be posted at a later date on the ZEV program website.
ARB is holding a webinar detailing the zero emission vehicle (ZEV) regulation, including the most recent modifications, on 4 June, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm (PST). Registration for this ZEV Tutorial is required and space is limited.
As I recall, the ZEV regulations are what led us to the EV1, RAV4EV and other vehicles. The regulations were changed to make it easier for the car makers to comply and then the car makers sued because of changing regulations. No good deed goes unpunished.
