Renault Enters Two New EV Partnerships with Global Financing and Fleet Management Companies

Renault has entered two new EV partnerships: one with Arval, a BNP Paribas subsidiary; the other with ALD Automotive, a global provider of financing and vehicle fleet management services.

Arval is a major player in multi-brand full service leasing and corporate fleet management, with 602,000 vehicles leased and 688,000 vehicles managed in 22 countries at the end of 2008.

Arval will work with Renault by setting up specific new leasing offers adapted to the electric vehicles.

In early June 2009, Renault presented its electric vehicle strategy to a number of privileged clients, and it was on this occasion that Arval discovered Renault’s future Zero Emissions range. Teams from both partners, Renault and Arval, will rapidly develop full service leasing solutions.

The agreement between Renault and ALD Automotive provides support for the introduction of electric vehicles by Renault into the corporate vehicle fleets of ALD Automotive customers in Europe as from 2011. It focuses especially on research into customer pricing appropriate to this type of vehicle.
