Mahindra &: Mahindra to Introduce Electric Vehicle at New Delhi Auto Expo

Economic Times. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) will showcase its much-awaited electric vehicle at the Auto Expo this month in New Delhi.

Pawan Goenka, Mahindra & Mahindra President (Automotive Sector) said that the company plans to launch the electric vehicle by the end of 2010. The company also plans to launch HCNG (a mixture of hydrogen and CNG) vehicles over the next 12-18 months (earlier post) as well as a hydrogen-powered three-wheeler (earlier post).

M&M will also unveil its next-generation mini truck, named Maxximo, at the Auto Expo 2010.

Mahindra’s 2009 domestic sales reached 201,201 units, an increase of 28% against 157,553 units in 2008.
