Mitsubishi Motors Partners to Promote the i-MiEV Electric Vehicle in Switzerland
11 March 2010
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MM Automobile Schweiz AG and Switzerland’s largest electricity provider Alpiq Holding AG (Alpiq) through which the three parties will work together to promote the popularization of the new-generation electric vehicle i-MiEV in Switzerland.
Under the MoU, the three companies will work together to confirm the viability of electric vehicles and Japan-developed quick-charger units in Switzerland.
For Alpiq, electric mobility is an efficient and innovative solution for the development of individual means of transport free from CO2 emissions.
The i-MiEV is being made available for test drives inside the Green Pavilion at the 80th Geneva International Motor Show at the Geneva Palexpo exhibition and conference complex which runs through 14 March.
It is very surprising that MES-DEA and their ZEBRA battery are not involved in this project. The Swiss government seems to ignore their local industry. ..HG..
