2011 Chevy Cruze to Start at $16,995
03 June 2010
The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze will go on sale in the US in September starting at $16,995, including destination. Priced to compete in the compact-car segment, the Cruze offers more interior room, better fuel economy in the Eco model (up to an estimated 40 mpg highway), and more standard safety features than any of its competitors, GM says.
The 2011 Cruze will be offered for retail sale in four models:
- Cruze LS (starting at $16,995), with standard 1.8L Ecotec engine and six-speed manual transmission
- Cruze LT (starting at $18,895), including standard 1.4L Ecotec turbo and six-speed automatic transmission
- Eco (starting at $18,895), including standard 1.4L Ecotec turbo and six-speed manual transmission
- Cruze LTZ (starting at $22,695), including standard 1.4L Ecotec turbo and six-speed automatic transmission
Now if these where available 2 years ago how many would they have sold by now?

HarveyD - you weren't supposed to tell taxpayer/GM owners about Hyundai..

Kelly...I can't see anything new into another small ICE car (outsourced by GM) and selling at ($4k+) than existing very similar cars. GM has tried that route before and it did not turn out very well. Something very different like various size Volts may have a better chance.
