Univ. of Wisconsin offering online Master of Engineering in Engine Systems (MEES)
03 December 2010
The University of Wisconsin is offering an Internet-delivered Master of Engineering in Engine Systems (MEES). The MEES program incorporates the latest in research from the UW Engine Research Center. Courses provide skills including:
- Understanding how legislative drivers for emissions, safety, noise, and more directly impact engine design
- Comparatively assessing alternative fuels and engines
- Integrating engine design with various manufacturing processes
- Selecting the combustion system, fuel and engine system that will best fit a particular application
- Optimizing each component, sub-system, and system
- Coordinating the NVH measurement and optimization to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations
The MEES program is taught by known experts in internal combustion engine design and development, including Rolf Reitz, S.M. Shahed, and Kevin Hoag.
