Daimler AG boosts stake in Mitsubishi Fuso to 89.29%

Daimler AG has increased its stake in Mitsubishi Fuso (MFTBC) by ¥30 billion (US$361 million), raising its share from 85% to 89.29%. The Mitsubishi Group holds the other 10.71%.

Against the background of a greater integration with the Daimler Trucks, Fuso is now focused on sustainable growth and increased efficiency.

MFTBC is part of the Daimler Trucks division of Daimler AG. The Japan-based company produces and sells under the brand a full range of Fuso trucks and buses in more than 150 countries. Within Daimler Trucks, Fuso provides an important foothold in Asia, and serves as a worldwide competence center for all light trucks and for all truck series in the consolidated global hybrid center.
