LS9 in 2nd partnership with Procter & Gamble

LS9, Inc., a developer of fermentation-derived bio-hydrocarbons, has initiated a second development and commercialization partnership with Procter & Gamble. The two companies first partnered in 2009 to support the joint development and commercialization of LS9 technology to produce key chemicals used within the P&G portfolio of consumer products.

This additional partnership draws on LS9’s technology to broaden the portfolio of renewable chemicals to be used in P&G’s consumer products.

This second project, already underway, builds on the success of our first partnership and is further affirmation of our ability to bring a diverse portfolio of renewable chemicals to market using efficient, low-cost processes. It also demonstrates P&G’s faith in LS9’s powerful technology platform.

—Ed Dineen, LS9 President and CEO

LS9 is focused on developing renewable petroleum products using a proprietary one-step fermentation process that significantly reduces the costs and energy inputs.
