Prius v still on track for delivery in US this Fall

Following Toyota Motor Corporation’s (TMC) announcement in Japan that delivery of the Prius α will be delayed, Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc. (TMS) announced that the Prius v is still on track for delivery to US customers this fall.
Delay of the Japan-market Prius α is due to the ongoing effects of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
Prius (v) (a) (iv) (vi) (PHEV) is confusing?
Will they be superior to the current Prius III?

Toyota's troubles in their Japanese manufacturing base might inspire them to up their investment in US manufacturing. Including Telsa and the Model S.
