Sales of EVs in Spain low; 314 units year-to-date, 0.04% of new registrations

Sales of electric vehicles in Spain are low, reports El Mundo: 314 units were sold during the first eleven months of the year, representing 0.04% of the total 741,600 units sold during that time. For the month of November alone, sales stood at 45 units, or 0.07% of the market.

Fleets or public entities are the largest buyers of EVs, according to the report.

Madrid has the most electric vehicles registered at 149 units, followed by Catalonia with 56.

Sales of hybrid vehicles increased by 21.7% over eleven months to 9,427 units, representing 1.27% of car registrations. In November, hybrid sales rose 7.5% to 830 units, representing 1.37% of the market.
