Saft will preview two new Li-ion modules for vehicle applications at the Paris Motor Show:
Saft’s 48 V lithium-ion battery module, developed in cooperation with Valeo’s Propulsion Systems Division, uses specific technology which renders it suitable for use in very high power applications.
A new Super-Phosphate module for electric and hybrid vehicles is superior to the standard lithium-iron phosphate technology currently available in the market, according to the company.
The Furtive-eGT, developed by Exagon Motors and presented for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in its final version, will also be equipped with a latest generation lithium-ion Saft battery which both meets the demands of GT electric performance requirements and provides the best compromise between autonomy, top speed and longevity.
The Furtive-eGT brings together four major industrial players: Siemens for its motorization; Saft for its lithium-ion batteries; Michelin for its tires; and OAK Racing for its carbon chassis.
Good combined effort by four serious industries. It should produce interesting electrified vehicles.
