Honda bringing Insight and Fit Hybrid to market in China; prepping for local production

At the 10th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition, Honda announced it was introducing the Insight and the Fit Hybrid to the China market, in addition to the CR-Z, which was launched in July.

Honda also announced its plans to further expand its lineup of hybrid models in China. In order to offer its hybrid models to Chinese customers at more affordable prices, Honda will begin preparation for local production of hybrid models in China in 2014.

Honda also is planning to open a tentative design studio in China before the end of this year to strengthen the development of exclusive China models by Chinese designers.

It is good to see the historic enmity between Japan and China forgotten.

And this will help keep employment in Japan, EU and the US from rising to unsustainable levels and trade unbalance from hitting the roof.
