The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), an organization driving global technologies for phone-centric car connectivity solutions, announced the MirrorLink Developer Portal is now open for advance registration. Developers wishing to create apps enabled with the car-connectivity standard can register to receive news on the portal’s official launch, scheduled to take place in the coming months. The CCC also announced it now has more than 100 worldwide members and authorized test labs.
The CCC began publicly courting developers at the first MirrorLink DevCon, which took place 26 February at Mobile World Congress.
The Developer Portal will be a one-stop-shop for MirrorLink app development, including the MirrorLink API, a developer forum, driver distraction guidelines, the application certification management system and software tool downloads.
The CCC is dedicated to cross-industry collaboration in developing MirrorLink global standards and solutions for smartphone and in-vehicle connectivity. The CCC currently includes more than 70% of the world’s automakers and more than 70% of the world’s smartphone makers.
