Suited for a variety of applications, the mini direct-acting VFS offers increased accuracy and reduced leakage compared with variable bleed solenoids. Because BorgWarner’s mini direct-acting VFS is virtually insensitive to temperature and supply-side pressure variations, shift quality is improved.

All of this can be achieved with minimal revision to the existing transmission valve body, while improving customer quality perception and satisfaction, the company says.
