Enerkem in partnerships to build waste-to-biofuels facilities in China
27 October 2014
Canada-based waste-to-biofuels company Enerkem has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shanghai Environmental Group Co. Ltd., a municipal solid waste management company and a subsidiary of Shanghai Chengtou Holding Co. Ltd., to develop a project partnership to jointly build municipal solid waste-to-biofuels and chemicals facilities in China.
Enerkem also signed an agreement with Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute (SMDERI), to develop a project partnership to jointly build a waste-to-biofuels facility in China.
In the partnerships, Enerkem will license its technology to convert local urban waste and a variety of waste feedstocks.
The final business structure and sites are under discussions and will be announced at a later time.
Can they pay me a little bit for my waste here ? I can keep them just for them if they need it.
They can maybe harness my car exhaust because now I had to flush it into the air, what a waste of resources.
