Andromeda Interfaces introduces Electric Vehicle Interface Controller

Andromeda Interfaces has introduced its Electric Vehicle Interface Controller (EVIC), a fully integrated display device to monitor the operation and safety of electric vehicle major sub-systems.

The display device connects to the CAN network and retrieves the following data:

  • Cell Temperatures (Min and Max)
  • Cell Voltages (Min and Max)
  • Traction High Voltage (VDC)
  • Traction Charge and Discharge Amperage (Amps)
  • State-Of-Charge (SOC)

EVIC can gather, interpret, and monitor complex critical EV system data which it then graphically represents for users to easily understand. EVIC currently supports interfaces for motor controllers and battery management systems and is a certified interface for Orion’s Battery Management Systems.

Andromeda Interfaces is proud to have teamed up with Ewert Energy Systems to certify EVIC’s interface with their products.

San Diego-based Andromeda Interfaces designs, develops, and manufactures Human Machine Interface (HMI) electronics and solutions which are scalable to support a variety of commercial and industrial applications.
