XL Hybrids enters installation and distribution partnership with Lancer Automotive Group for intermountain west

Lancer Automotive Group, a leader in the intermountain west for alternative fuel conversions, announced a non-exclusive installation partnership and distribution agreement with XL Hybrids, a developer of hybrid electric powertrain technology for commercial and municipal fleets.

Lancer Automotive will add XL Hybrids’ XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System product line to its roster of alternative technologies, which already includes CNG, LPG and EV products, to provide a full spectrum of fuel efficiency improvement solutions for commercial fleets.

The XL Hybrids patent-pending XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive System installs in about six hours and is the lowest-priced, highest quality hybrid system available for GM and Ford passenger and cargo vans, as well as cutaways and stripped chassis. Fleets are able to get on the road immediately after installation because the technology requires no driver training, special plugs, or fueling stations.

This agreement with Lancer Automotive Group is part of our long-term strategy to make our hybrid electric powertrain accessible to fleets across the country. Our growing network of upfitters will give fleet managers greater confidence that they can turn to trusted resources with convenient service locations.

—Clay Siegert, vice president and co-founder of XL Hybrids
