06 May 2015
Toyota has announced the first 8 California dealers for the Mirai fuel cell vehicle, which will arrive in the dealerships in October. Toyota is planning for Mirai US sales volume of approximately 3,000 units through 2017.
Northern California drivers will meet Mirai at San Francisco Toyota, Roseville Toyota, Stevens Creek Toyota or Toyota of Sunnyvale. Farther south, Longo Toyota, Toyota Santa Monica, Toyota of Orange and Tustin Toyota will welcome Mirai customers.
These initial dealers were selected based on advanced technology vehicle sales experience and proximity to hydrogen infrastructure.
Beginning this summer, California customers can request a Mirai by visiting www.toyota.com/mirai. Production of the Mirai is limited and vehicles will be placed with select, eligible customers. All Mirais will be sold and delivered through the authorized Mirai dealer of the customer’s choice.
Daimler is getting behind the provision of public filling stations in Germany, and operating with Total the filling station network should shortly be able to offer sketchy but possible cover across Germany:

Toyota, Hyundai and Honda could joint forces and do the same in California and expand progressively in Oregon and Washington States.
In subsequent phases, other manufactures could joint in and more corridors could be supplied with H2 stations.
