Nevs in strategic cooperation with China’s State Grid for EVs

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (Nevs) and State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. have signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework agreement under which State Grid will use Nevs as a preferred partner for mobility solutions and as a supplier of electric vehicles.
State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) was established as a state-owned enterprise on 29 December 2002. As the largest public service company in the world, SGCC ranked 7th on Fortune Global 500.
SGCC constructs and operates power grids as its core business, to provide safer, cleaner, and more economic and sustainable power supply. As a super-large state-owned enterprise crucial to national energy security, SGCC operates as a group with CNY 200 billion (US$31 billion) registered capital and 1.87 million employees.
State Grid Electric Vehicle Service Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary company of State Grid Corporation of China. It was founded by the end of 2015 with CNY 3 billion (US$460 million) registered capital. The company focuses on advancing electric vehicle industry and green development in China.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden (Nevs) vision is to shape mobility for a more sustainable future. Core to this is a global portfolio of fully electric premium cars, complemented with mobility services and sustainable city offerings.
Nevs was founded in 2012 and acquired the main assets of Saab Automobile AB. The company is owned by NME Holdings Ltd, Tianjin City – the Tianjin Binhai Hi-tech Industrial Development Area, (THT) and State Research Information Technology Co., Ltd. (SRIT).
Nevs’ head office and main research and development facilities are located in Trollhättan, Sweden. Nevs’ car production plant is located in Trollhättan, with a second production plant and a R&D Center under construction in Tianjin, China.
