2017 Hyundai Elantra Eco starts at $20,650; 40 mpg highway, 35 mpg combined

Hyundai Motor America has priced the all-new 2017 Elantra Eco starting at $20,650. Elantra Eco is the most fuel efficient Elantra, delivering an EPA estimated 40 mpg (5.88 l/100 km) on the highway and 35 mpg (6.71 l/100 km) in combined city and highway driving.

The Elantra Eco is fitted with a 1.4-liter turbo GDI 4-cylinder engine, mated with a seven-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission with Shiftronic. The all-new 1.4-liter Kappa engine produces 128 hp and 156 lb-ft (212 N·m) torque at a low 1,400~3,700 rpm.

On the inside, there is a standard seven-inch Display Audio touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Additional standard features include Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist, proximity key with push-button start, heated front seats, dual automatic temperature control and a leather wrapped shift knob and steering wheel with audio, cruise and Bluetooth controls.
