Volkswagen to present new long-wheelbase Tiguan at Detroit show

Volkswagen will unveil the new long-wheelbase variant of its Tiguan SUV in a world premiere at the beginning of January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Beginning in the early part of summer, the longer Tiguan—with up to seven seats—will be launched successively in North America, China and Europe.

The European version of the long Tiguan will be given the added designation “Allspace”, while the models for North America and China will simply be called “Tiguan”.

As the name suggests, the new long version of the Tiguan boasts more room in the interior and a longer wheelbase (+11 cm/4.33 inches). Both aspects ensure greater flexibility in the interior. In addition, the Tiguan Allspace comes with an attractive range of equipment features.
