BASF grants Reshine a Sub-License under ANL NCM Cathode Material Patents

BASF has granted Hunan Reshine New Material Co. Ltd. a sub-license under Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) patents related to nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) cathode materials for long life, high energy, reliability and cost-effective lithium ion batteries.

Reshine is now licensed to make, use, sell, offer to sell, distribute and import the NCM cathode materials in the US market.

BASF is continuing its sub-licensing strategy to NCM industry players. This benefits manufacturers throughout the value chain, as access to innovative technology is secured.

Hunan Reshine New Material Co., Ltd. is a high-tech company specializing in the R&D, production and sales of cathode materials for Li-ion battery. Founded in 2001, Reshine holds more than 110 Chinese Invention and Utility Patents. Thanks to advantages in raw materials quality control, production technology and quality management, Reshine has become the main NCM cathode materials supplier of Li-ion battery makers including: Samsung SDI, LGC, CATL, SKI, TOSHIBA, BYD, GUOXUAN, YINLONG, WANXIANG-A123, and others.
