University of Cape Town, Fraunhofer partner on hydrogen and fuel cell technology

The University of Cape Town (UCT) (South Africa) and Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that is centred around hydrogen technologies.

Experts from both institutions will collaborate in activities to accelerate progress in the fields of hydrogen and fuel cell technology.

Fraunhofer ISE’s work in hydrogen technologies consists of fundamental research into the production, conversion and catalytic processing of hydrogen. It also includes models to investigate the role of hydrogen in future energy systems.
