Apple files two LCFS applications in California for renewable electricity

Apple has submitted two Tier 2 applications under the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) for rooftop solar electricity it will generate at its facilities to provide power for electric vehicle charging stations (26 dual head Chargepoint stations at one site and 7 at a second.)

The carbon intensity of the electricity is 0.

The amount of electricity generated will exceed the amount of electricity dispensed to electric vehicles; Apple is treating the exact amounts as proprietary business information.
