California’s 35th retail hydrogen station opens
24 May 2018
The Newport Beach retail hydrogen station, operated by Shell, is now open; it is the 35th retail hydrogen station in California and located in Orange County.
The hydrogen station first opened in 2012 and was recently upgraded to accommodate retail sales.
The station will be open 24 hours a day and is located at 1600 Jamboree Blvd, Newport Beach, CA 92660. It is nearly across the street from Fashion Island.
A hand to California for promoting clean H2 stations.
Competition will soon push H2 technology towards cleaner procedures and lower price.

My quick search finds over 13,000 gasoline service stations in California.
35 hydrogen stations is BEYOND pathetic. Hype-drogen cars can barely venture beyond their specific fueling points, while Tesla-compatible EVs can already traverse the continent of North America. Give it up already!

Over 50% of the refineries in our area are already closed and up to 25% of the gas stations did the same in the last 20 years.
Smaller more efficient ICEVs, HEVs/PHEVs and BEVs are probably the main reasons.
Support for FCEVs and local H2 stations are just starting.
