Solaris to supply 12 new buses, including two electrics, to Ostróda

Solaris will supply ten 12-meter buses with a conventional drive, and two electric models—the Urbino 8.9 LE electric—to Ostróda, Poland.

The first half of the order—five Urbino 12 vehicles and one electric bus—shall be supplied in May 2019, whereas the second one will be delivered in May 2020. The total value of the order amounts to over PLN 16 million (US$4.4 million).

Ostróda is a new client for Solaris. The buses delivered to Ostróda will go to the operator Żegluga Ostródzka-Elbląska.

The electric Solaris Urbino 8.9 LE electric is equipped with a 160 kW motor. The traction batteries of up to 160 kWh will be charged via a plug-in system and with an on-board charger of 40 kW.
