AltAir Paramount files CA LCFS Tier 2 application for renewable diesel with CI of 38.75 gCO2e/MJ

AltAir Paramount (AltAir) LLC has filed a Tier 2 LCFS application with the California Air Resources Board (ARB) for its renewable diesel produce using a mixture of North American animal tallow and small quantities of other non-edible vegetable oils. The proposed carbon intensity is 39.75 gCO2e/MJ.

AltAir also recently filed an LCFS application for its renewable naphtha, also produced at the same plant in Paramount, California. (Earlier post.)

Because AltAir does not have access to a hydrogen plant to pipe in gaseous hydrogen, AltAir purchases liquefied hydrogen which is then transported by truck to their facility.
