Bureau Veritas launches EV charging program

Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification for nearly 200 years, unveiled an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program. Bureau Veritas’ EV Charging Program is a suite of services that provides technical excellence for charger deployments in a scalable way.

The number of EVs in the US is projected to increase from 1.5 million in 2020 to 10-35 million by 2035. Further, over the past five years, public EV chargers increased by about 40% per year, a rate that must be maintained over the next decade to install an additional 1-2 million public chargers by 2030.

As an independent third-party partner, Bureau Veritas provides site validation concept planning, due diligence, design, permitting, utility coordination, project management, turnkey installation, commissioning and routine maintenance inspections as a part of its EV Charging Program to ensure businesses seamlessly get through any or all of the EV charging life cycle.

Bureau Veritas has already entered into an agreement with one of the largest open DC fast charging networks in the US to accelerate charger installations and to inspect and maintain its EV charging assets into the future.
