GreenFlux implements Plug&Charge
25 August 2023
The Netherlands-based GreenFlux, a DKV Mobility Group company, has successfully implemented Hubject’s Plug&Charge technology onto its platform. GreenFlux’s Plug&Charge functionality is based on the ISO15118 protocol, which allows a fully automated charging process.
By partnering with Hubject, each of the software provider’s Charge Point Operator (CPO) customers can roll out the Plug&Charge feature once their charge stations are updated with the latest firmware.
Once updated, EV drivers using charge stations of these CPOs can directly pay for their charging sessions without using app-based payment methods, RFID, or credit cards. With Plug&Charge, the authentication begins as soon as the drivers connect their vehicle to a charge station.
The deployment marks a crucial step in GreenFlux’s pursuit to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility and make EV driving accessible to all.
GreenFlux empowers CPOs and eMobility service providers (EMSPs) to scale their operations using its cloud-based, hardware-agnostic EV charging solutions.
Following the successful implementation and tests with hardware and car manufacturers, GreenFlux is now ready to deploy the Plug&Charge feature to its CPO platform customers. CPO customers can offer the feature to their clients once the charge stations are updated with the latest firmware and the required list of certificates is in place.
GreenFlux is currently active in 21 countries on 5 continents.
