ZF’s Commercial Vehicles Solutions division has developed a new hybrid transmission. Part of the TraXon family, the new TraXon 2 Hybrid from ZF will enable commercial vehicle operators to reduce carbon emissions while still maintaining the capability advantages of a combustion engine.
TraXon 2 Hybrid
ZF’s standard TraXon 2—the successor to its TraXon—builds on its automated manual transmission (AMT) updated with in-house designed and manufactured ECU and shift actuators. Equipped with next generation microprocessor, integrated security module and thorough functional software upgrades, TraXon 2 helps to improve fuel efficiency and to reduce CO2 emissions while meeting latest regulatory cyber security requirements.
The current TraXon Hybrid variant features a 120 kW electric motor installed upstream of the automatic transmission system as a drive module.
